Job Shadowers
The lady we set up this job shadow, Jacqueline, set up a time to meet with her at the thrift store. We were going to see how they take their donations in, and how they organize and handle them. Also, we might have gotten a peek at the medical room.
When we arrived, the lady did not show up. We asked around for her, but she went on her lunch break. A lady was kind enough to fill in for her and give us the tour. We got to see what comes in and where it comes from. Also, we got to see the kittens and cats that they had for adoption, plus a little tour of where they give the vaccinations.
Expectation
This job shadow wasn't very successful, and we didn't get much out of it. There wasn't enough information to write reflection papers on, and we didn't need to take photos. Along with learning a few new things about the thrift store, the best thing we learned from this was that not all job shadows and interviews will go as planned.
